The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Fond memories of Penn State--both main campus and Wilkes-Barre. Since the BA in history, I continued studies in the History of Religion (MA, Fordham University), Biblical Studies (MA, Providence College), and Moral Theology (PhD, Fordham University). I have been teaching at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL since 1993; once I experienced college life I could not leave it! I am writing a book on disabilities and theology for the University of Notre Dame Press. I just published a collection of essays by women authors on the HIV/AIDS pandemic, Calling for Justice throughout the World (Continuum 2008), and a collection of essays on War-Borne Disabling Casualties (Journal of Religion, Disability & Health 2008). And I am co-editor of the Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics. I am active in peace and justice work, anti-racism work, and healthcare reform. I serve as an ethics consultant to regional and national healthcare systems. I live in Hollywood, FL with my husband, Giuseppe D'Amato, now retired from his work as a master cabinetmaker.
